Presently my  medium of choice is Sennelier soft pastels on special Art Spectrum 300gsm Colourfix paper.

 

These pigment laden pastels on the textured toothy specialist pastel paper allows for more depth of colour as more pigment can be held by the paper. The high quality Sennelier pastels so loaded with pigment allow for greater depth of colour in the work. I love the immediacy of soft pastels, the direct flow between head, heart and hand.
